Chapters, Stories, etc.

This page is starting to come together now. In addition to excerpts from D.B. Jackson's first two novels, Thieftaker and Thieves' Quarry, volumes I and II of the Thieftaker Chronicles, you can now read D.B. Jackson's first published story, "The Tavern Fire," which first appeared in print in March 2011. And you can also read "The Witch of Dedham," a previously unreleased Thieftaker short story! Or, if you prefer, you can download an MP3 version of D.B. Jackson reading the story!

For those of you who are wondering, Thieftaker is now out from Tor Books! Thieves' Quarry should be released sometime in 2013.

Eventually, you will find here sample chapters from subsequent books in the series, as well as original short fiction available only on this site. So check back often, and in the meantime, enjoy "The Tavern Fire," and the first three chapters of Thieftaker and Thieves' Quarry.

From the Author
D.B. Jackson“This might be my favorite part of setting up a webpage. I love making available samples of my work for potential readers. These days, we’ve come to expect that we can sample a song or album before we buy it. Shouldn’t we expect the same of a book we want to read? I hope you’ll enjoy the work you find here, and I also hope that you’ll send your friends here, so that they can read these stories as well.”
